I feel so fortunate to be able to offer mindfulness and coaching to interested individuals.
Mindfulness is about leaning into your life exactly as it is in this moment. It's about learning to wisely navigate the ups and downs, the challenges and the beauty while maintaining a calm and steady attitude toward all that arises.
Coaching is about designing the life that you want. It's about discovering what inspires you and nurturing the unique qualities that you bring to the world. This work can be applied to your career, your relationships, and the areas of your life that matter most to you. As your coach, I am by your side, helping you to look forward. Together, we identify actions, behavior changes and a plan to take concrete steps to realize your goals.
My professional work experience is in Higher Education where I have taught and mentored undergraduate and graduate students at Navajo Community College, UCLA, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Michigan.
In 2004, I took my first 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course and received my Ph.D. from UCLA. I have extensive experience leading 8-week mindfulness programs as well as working with individuals. I have created the Mindfulness@Umich drop-in program for Students, Faculty, and Staff at the University of Michigan. You can read about it here. I am a founding member of the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness and Mindful City - Ann Arbor and a rotating leading for Being In Tune in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an invitation to lean into your life as it is right now. With continued practice, you learn to manage the ups and downs of life without getting tossed about as easily.
We know from a growing body of research that regular practice helps to lower our stress levels, decreases rumination, and boosts working memory and focus. Individuals who regularly practice mindfulness report feeling more satisfied with life and their relationships and are less emotionally reactive. Studies show that we are actually happier when we're living in the present moment.
Creating Space to Breathe is a 6 week training program that teaches you the skills you need to lead 30-minute drop-in sessions in your workplace, institution, or your community. It is based on growing a grassroots mindfulness program at the University of Michigan since 2010.
Now in its 6th year, Mindfulness@Umich has grown to 4 drop-in sessions on Central and North campuses at the University of Michigan. Through the Creating Space to Breathe program, trained leaders are able to assist in bringing mindfulness drop-in sessions to more students, faculty, and staff on our campus.
Coach Your Potential is for young adults and millenials. I define potential as a quality or ability within you that hasn’t yet been fully developed or realized.
We are often unable to see our own potential. A highly trained coach helps you to tap into what motivates you, what engages you, and helps you recognize your potential. Living into your full potential brings you closer to a life of meaning and fulfillment. As your coach, I am there to help every step of this journey.
The Coach Cafe is a virtual or in person space just for women to explore the possibility of their own unique potential. In our work together we'll discover what inspires you and nurture the unique qualities that you bring to the world. This work can be applied to your career, your relationships, and the areas of your life that matter most to you. As your coach, I am by your side, helping you to look forward. Together, we'll identify actions, behavior changes and a plan to take concrete steps to realize your goals.
